Went to Coop’s Place in the French Quarter to eat lunch on Sunday while in New Orleans.  The place definitely had a down home country bar kinda feel too it, but I liked it.  I ordered the sampler platter, so I could taste everything that I wanted to try.  It had rabbit and sausage jambalaya, shrimp creole, fried chicken, gumbo, and red beans and rice.  I’ve never eaten rabbit before, so I was pretty hyped.  The food wasn’t bad, the chicken and shrimp creole was very good and ask any of my close friends, I don’t eat fried foods, I stopped about 12 years ago.  I just don’t like them anymore, but this place had some well seasoned and nicely breaded fried chicken!  The gumbo had a good amount a spiciness, almost too much, but both the jambalaya and the red beans and rice were WAY too thick.  It was like they used sticky rice for the jambalaya, but the rabbit was cooked just right so I was satisfied.

After that heavy meal, I walked around the French Market and along the Mississippi River, some shots of those will be coming soon.
